This year oscar celebrated its 83rd birthday with same excitement and enthusiasm. Oscar ceremony not only interesting to film lovers but also for fashion lovers through worldwide.

Besides nominations, awards oscar is also about fashion, dresses which turns me on. I guess actress might spent months together to dressed like "stars" as they are film stars.
Oscar co-host Anne Hathaway stealed views of fashion-lovers with her magic of changing of dress for every other award. Halle Berry's tulle-adorned Marchesa gown, Helen Mirren's fitted gray vivienne westwood gown, Mandy Moore's elegant sparkled gown, Aishwarya Rai's copper Armani gown made them to look stunning. Dynamic lady sandra Bullock added color to the show as a presentor with her stunning looks.

Who's great?

Once in a village, a old women who stands as symbol of self-respect, surviving by providing food to the visitors of that village and she used to take a fair amount for the service she catered. She never asked anyone a single penny. She prefer to die with starvation but never made her head down by asking someone for help.
One day few medicos comes to that village for a medical camp. They want to stay at this old women's house by the advice of the villagers. They were amazed by looking at this old women and suspects whether "she able to cook for all of us".
The old women acts by understanding their feeling and says " you don't worry about my ability. I'll cook for you, get ready. However, Malli is there to help me."
The students relieved and go for bath, once they are back the food was ready and they were surprised to see a young girl who was rich in her dressing and looking extremely gorgeous with a beautiful smile. She was none other than Malli who helped old lady in cooking. Malli arranged everything in an organized way and left by saying "bye" to everyone.
The food was delicious and everyone felt that they never ate such kind of food. Later they slept in a room as they have to leave by the next day evening after the medical camp. On that night, no one had proper sleep wonderful food and more wonderful Malli didn't made them sleep.
Next day, they went to medical camp conducted at government hospital of that village. There they saw Malli wearing apron treating the patients with same beautiful smile. They were amazed and want to know "whether she was the same girl whom they saw yesterday preparing food", they rushed to her. Malli by understanding them said " yes, I am the same girl who has been with old women and helped her just for one cup of rice and dal". They want to know more.
After the medical camp she explained them that " I am Dr.Mallika ( Malli ) work in government hospital of this village and my parent stay at abroad. I like to be here than in abroad and felt like this village is my ultimate destination. When I came to this village even I am also catered by love and delicious food of that old lady and inspired her by knowing her way of living and self-respect.
I want to help her somehow. I learned cooking and helping her as Malli because I love to help her.

Wow... what a humanity.
It is really complex to decide who is great the whom. Dr. Mallika or old lady...

determination@Brooklyn Bridge

POWER OF DETERMINATION

In 1883, a creative engineer named John Roebling was inspired by an idea to build a spectacular bridge connecting New York with the Long Island. However bridge building experts throughout the world thought that this was an impossible feat and told Roebling to forget the idea. It just could not be done. It was not practical. It had never been done before.

Roebling could not ignore the vision he had in his mind of this bridge. He thought about it all the time and he knew deep in his heart that it could be done. He just had to share the dream with someone else. After much discussion and persuasion he managed to convince his son Washington, an up and coming engineer, that the bridge in fact could be built.

Working together for the first time, the father and son developed concepts of how it could be accomplished and how the obstacles could be overcome. With great excitement and inspiration, and the headiness of a wild challenge before them, they hired their crew and began to build their dream bridge.

The project started well, but when it was only a few months underway a tragic accident on the site took the life of John Roebling. Washington was injured and left with a certain amount of brain damage, which resulted in him not being able to walk or talk or even move.

"We told them so."
"Crazy men and their crazy dreams."
"It`s foolish to chase wild visions."

Everyone had a negative comment to make and felt that the project should be scrapped since the Roeblings were the only ones who knew how the bridge could be built. In spite of his handicap Washington was never discouraged and still had a burning desire to complete the bridge and his mind was still as sharp as ever.

He tried to inspire and pass on his enthusiasm to some of his friends, but they were too daunted by the task. As he lay on his bed in his hospital room, with the sunlight streaming through the windows, a gentle breeze blew the flimsy white curtains apart and he was able to see the sky and the tops of the trees outside for just a moment.

It seemed that there was a message for him not to give up. Suddenly an idea hit him. All he could do was move one finger and he decided to make the best use of it. By moving this, he slowly developed a code of communication with his wife.

He touched his wife's arm with that finger, indicating to her that he wanted her to call the engineers again. Then he used the same method of tapping her arm to tell the engineers what to do. It seemed foolish but the project was under way again.

For 13 years Washington tapped out his instructions with his finger on his wife's arm, until the bridge was finally completed. Today the spectacular Brooklyn Bridge stands in all its glory as a tribute to the triumph of one man's indomitable spirit and his determination not to be defeated by circumstances. It is also a tribute to the engineers and their teamwork, and to their faith in a man who was considered mad by half the world. It stands too as a tangible monument to the love and devotion of his wife who for 13 long years patiently decoded the messages of her husband and told the engineers what to do.

Often we we face obstacles in our day-to-day life our hurdles seem very small in comparison to what many others have to face. The Brooklyn bridge shows us that dreams that seem impossible can be realized with determination and persistence.

Perhaps this is one of the best examples of a never-say-die attitude that overcomes a terrible physical handicap and achieves an impossible goal.

Even the most distant dream can be realized with determination and persistence.
